Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Your-Call
Pty Ltd is Mr. Glenn Birrell.
Managing
Director
Glenn
Birrell has had over twenty-one
years policing experience in the Victoria Police Force before
leaving in 2001. The last eleven years of his policing career
were performed in managerial and supervisory roles. He has
had extensive experience in all facets of investigation
specialising in large and complex fraud matters.
He
also gained experience as a trainer lecturing to Police
Recruits, Constables, Sergeants and Detectives at Detective
Training School and the Economic Crime Course.
He was awarded a National
Medal and Victoria Police 15 & 20 year medals for ethical
conduct.
In the last four and a half years, he has undertaken numerous
significant corporate investigations, provided pro-active
anti fraud strategies to organisations and conducted training
& ethical programs for diverse organisations.
He has also assisted organisations
in establishing their whistleblower programs and provided
training to Protected Disclosure Officers (whistleblower
hotline operators).
He holds a Private Agents Inquiry Licence and is a member
of Australian Professional Institute of Investigators (A.I.P.I.).
He has a Certificate IV in Investigation Services and a
Certificate IV in Fraud Control. He
obtained a post Graduate Certificate in Fraud Investigation
from La Trobe University. This course of study was the first
of its type offered by any tertiary institute. It was the
product of a joint initiative between the Victoria Police
Major Fraud Group and La Trobe University's Law Faculty.
Glenn is responsible for the overall management and development
of the Your-Call business ensuring that the needs of the
users of the service are met.
Your-Call
has access to a number of consultants who are able to provide
input into the strategic direction and services offered
by the company as well as particular assistance to clients
if required. These consultants include:
Robert Taylor
who is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants
in Australia and in England and Wales; he was a senior partner
of Deloitte for 17 years, having qualified in 1973. He was
formerly the Managing Partner of the firm in Thailand and
in Melbourne . Since 1982 Robert has been providing forensic
accounting services, having established one of Melbourne's
first dedicated practices in 1987. He has appeared as an
expert witness in numerous matters in the Supreme, Federal,
County and Family Courts, for business and for A.S.I.C.
and the former National Crime Authority. He also currently
acts as a strategic adviser to a number of growing family
businesses and is chairman of the Guests Family businesses.
Peter Crofts
who holds degrees in Arts, Science and
Law, is an Affiliate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants,
a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria,
and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. He
has worked as a psychologist and lawyer before heading a
multi-disciplinary team investigating complex commercial
transactions with Australia's former National Crime Authority.
For more than ten years, Peter practised principally in
the area of Forensic Accounting as Partner in Charge of
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu's Melbourne Office Forensic Accounting
Group and National Coordinating Partner for Deloitte in
this area.
Mick
Fennessy
who
has had significant experience in investigation, in particular
the field of law enforcement having served with the Victoria
Police for nearly 14 years reaching the rank of Detective
Sergeant. He
later worked as a Police Operations Adviser on the Royal
Papua New Guinea Constabulary Development Project, Coordinator
Investigations with the Department of Human Services, Director
Fraud Prevention and Control with the Employment Services
Regulatory Authority and more recently as Director, responsible
for Corporate & Financial Investigation with Deloitte
Touche Tohmatsu.
He has developed
specific expertise in the investigation of fraud involving
banks, financial institutions and other major corporate
clients. He has successfully identified instances of fraud
by employees as well as developing and implementing programs
to improve accountability and prevent fraud and misappropriation.
He has also delivered training
in prevention and detection strategies for a number of organisations
in Australia and overseas.
Mick
has enhanced his wealth of experience with developmental
training in risk management, ethical conduct and strategic
management. He has delivered lectures at tertiary institutions
and regularly addresses seminars on fraud, fraud prevention
and related topics as well as being the author of many articles
on the subject.
He
is a past president of the Australian Institute of Professional
Investigators (AIPI) and a member of the Association of
Certified Fraud Examiners (USA).
